APRIL TOURNAMENT
The April tournament will be held on April 21 & 22, 2001. It will be ladies doubles and mens doubles. If you are planning to play in the April tournament, please sign up by Friday, April 20 at the clubhouse in Borrego Springs. You may also sign up by phoning Gary Edwards at home at 619-390-8412 or email him at garyre@home.com before Thursday of that week. After Thursday phone Gary on his cell phone at 619-992-8412 or phone Pete Azar on his cell phone at 619-743-9658. You may also phone one of our members who will be in Borrego by Friday and ask them to sign up for you. The draw will be completed by 9:00 P.M. Friday night and play will begin at 8:00 A.M. on Saturday morning.
BORREGO SPRINGS TENNIS CLUB BANQUET
Our BSTC group will have its annual end of the season banquet on Saturday, April 21 at 7:00 P.M. at Palm Canyon Resort. Betty Minkel is in charge of the banquet. If you don't already have reservations, call Betty at (909) 927-1449 to see if it is possible to still be included. We hope to see all of you there. After the banquet we will probably gather at the tennis clubhouse for cards, etc. if it is still early enough. Hope you'll all join us for the banquet!
ELECTION FOR NEW BSTC BOARD MEMBERS
Elections will be held at the April tournament for new Borrego Springs Tennis Club Board Members. Those people nominated are as follows:

SAN CLEMENTE CAMPOUT - SEPTEMBER 20-24
We remind you of our annual campout at San Clemente State Beach on September 20-24. If you don't already have reservations, phone the State Park Reservation System to see whether you can still make camping reservations. The number is 1-800-444-7275. Ask for the hook-up area and if you qualify (62+) ask for senior rates. Some of us will be there early, but most will be there Thursday thru Monday. Bring your tennis rackets - we won't have a tournament, but we play tennis at nearby courts. Also we will probably have a cookout on Saturday night - everyone bring your own main course to barbecue, a side dish to share, your own drinks, plates & utensils. Also, if you have a small barbecue and lantern, you might bring that also. If you don't camp, there are several motels in San Clemente located nearby so come down and join us - we always have a great time!
