Smith, Carolyn
Dick was a long-time member of the BSTC. His obituary published in Press-Enterprise on September 12, 2012 reads:

RICHARD "DICK" EUGENE STADELBACHER Beloved husband, father and friend, Dick Stadelbacher passed away September 7, 2012 at the age of 82. Though he had lived in Riverside since 1971, Dick was a mid-westerner at heart with a calm, pragmatic, down-to-earth approach to life and a sense of humor to boot. He was born in 1930 to Thelma & John Stadelbacher in Cobden, Illinois. Dick joined the Air Force upon graduating from high school but continued his schooling, earning a BS in Business from Ohio State and an MBA from George Washington University. He served two tours of duty in Europe, one in Vietnam, and then was finally stationed at March AFB where he managed the Officers Club. He retired in 1973 as a Lieutenant Colonel after 26 years. At that point Dick took an entrepreneurial direction, opening three restaurants in San Bernardino. In 1994 he took a second retirement to pursue his passions of tennis, cooking, gardening and volunteerism. He is survived by his wife, Carole; as well as his son Keith; daughters Valerie, Denise & Jill; and four grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, September 14 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 3774 Jackson Street, Riverside. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Victoria Avenue Forever Endowment Fund or Fast Friends Greyhound Rescue, 1210 N. Cypress Street, La Habra Heights, CA 90631.
